Materials Needed:
Crafter's Pick "Incredibly
Tacky" glue
3 Ziplock sandwich bags
Freezer Paper, 2 pieces 12"
x12"
.
General Project Instructions:
1: Pour about ½ cup of Incredibly tacky glue into each Zip Lock
Bag. To the first bag, add 1 teaspoon of the light colored paint. To the
second bag, add 1 teaspoon of the medium colored paint and to the third bag,
add 1 teaspoon of the dark colored paint. Seal each bag. Knead each bag until
the paint is mixed well into the glue.
2: Have one piece of the freezer paper laying on a flat surface with
the shiny/wax side up. Cut off a bottom corner of one of the bags, squeeze
out the mixture in a random motion onto the freezer paper. Repeat this step
using each of the other 2 bags. Place the other sheet of freezer paper shiny
side down onto the mixture. Smooth out the mixture by rubbing your hands
over the top piece of freezer paper, you will want the mixture to be thinned
out but not too thin. Besure that the area covered with the glue/paint mixture
is the size you will need plus at least an extra inch in all directions,
example: if you are covering a 5"x7" frame, make the "glue vinyl" at least
7" x9". The scraps are wonderful for small projects such as jewelry.
3: Remove the top piece of paper. If all of the two pieces of freezer
paper are not covered with an even coat of mixture or if you want to add
more of any one color, apply more mixture in your choice of color. When you
like the look, lay each piece of paper flat till the mixture dries. It is
best to leave it overnight.
4: When the mixture is completely dry, it can be pulled off the freezer
paper and will look like vinyl. Remove the "glue vinyl" from the freezer
paper. The vinyl can be cut with fancy scissors into shapes and sizes or
punched with decorative punches . Attach the vinyl to the PresOn mat according
to the directions with the mat.
Glue vinyl must be sealed with a spray sealer if used where it would
come in contact with water.
