BATIK-EZ
and RIT Dye Used In Paper Crafts
Batik-dyed
effects can easily be created on paper using our washable resist
medium, Crafter’s Pick Batik-EZ. Designs are stamped,
stenciled or brushed onto the water color paper using the resist
medium and allowed to dry. Sprayed, drizzled, dripped or
brush Rit Dye around the resist. To help the dyes
penetrate the paper, the wet water color paper is placed in the
microwave and set on High for one minute. The last step is to
rinse the paper under running water and wipe away the resist with
a sea sponge. After the paper dries, the batik-dyed areas
can be outlined with ink pens or paints, if desired.
